About Me

  • 1978 – Born and Raised in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire – England. Grew up with both parents and three sisters.
  • 1992 – Got my first job at age 14 as a roof tiler’s laborer.
  • 1994 – Left the Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School with 9 GCSE’s ( 6xA, 1xB and 2xC grades).
  • 1995-1997 – Attended Bucks College full time studying Construction Management.
  • 1997-1998 – Trainee Site Manager for AMEC Construction. Trainee’s all got laid off prematurely. My life took a totally different course.
  • 1998-1999 – Worked for Watford New Hope Trust serving the homeless.
  • 1999 – Migrated to America with my best friend Ben.
  • 1999-2002 – Started as an intern and progressed to Divisional Leader in Spanish Harlem doing, children’s Sunday school programs with Metro Ministries, across all of New York’s inner-city.
  • 2002-2006 – Was the Children’s pastor at Crossover Community Church, an urban, hip-hop orientated church, where I started my nonprofit skate network called Splinter Skatepark, Splinter Youth, Splinter Skateboards etc. Skateboarding was my passion and turned my dreams into reality with the help of Crossover.
  • 2004 – Married an English girl: Annalise.
  • 2006-2008 – Moved to Joplin, MO and worked with The Bridge youth facility and American Ramp Company expanding my Splinter network, designing and building skateparks all over. Also, partnered with Betenbough Homes out of Lubbock TX to offer matching grants for skate parks.
  • 2007 – My first daughter Ella-Maria was born.
  • 2008 – 2012 Went back to my inner-city youth ministry roots and moved the family to Memphis TN working with Memphis Athletic Ministry, where I pioneered a new skate ministry Greenlaw Groms  at a community center Uptown and Sidewalk Skate Ministry with mobile ramps.
  • 2010 – Aliza Joy my second daughter was born.
  • 2011 – Became an American citizen and signed up for the US Army a month later.
  • 2012 – Went to Infantry Basic Training at Ft. Benning, GA. Was in charge of my platoon for most of Basic training. Graduated as platoon honor grad. Ft. Knox. KY was my assigned duty station with the ‘Big Red One’, First Infantry Division, 1-26 Blue Spaders.
  • 2013-2014 – deployed to Afghanistan for 8 months. Our Infantry brigade was broken down into 10-man squad size elements and attached to different Special Forces or Navy Seal teams. We lived on a small outpost not far from FOB Ghazni in a hostile valley and this is where I first started self-publishing my kids books.
  • 2015 – Left the Army having made it to Sergeant and moved the family to Austin TX.
  • 2015-2017 – Worked for CDCC inspecting construction sites for banks.
  • 2015 – Founded Belvin Haus LLC with Todd after meeting him on one of my inspections. First house we flipped was on Belvin St in San Marcos and that’s how we got our name.
  • 2017 – Annalise and I divorced, but remain amicable. Went full time with Belvin Haus and got my real estate license so I am a licensed Realtor. We also started our manufactured home wing Todd Buys Mobile Homes. Subsequently got my broker and retailer license for this.
  • 2018 – Put together this website to link everything together. Updated my kids books and self-published ‘Mr Nobbles, I Have A Problem‘.
  • 2018 – Ended my flipping & mobile home involvement and started working with Executive Apartment Locators, focused on luxury apartment leasing across Austin.
